The most difficult aspect of Set Fire, thus far, has been creating a time line. I took the characters and story lines from an unfinished novel about a zombie apocalypse and am in turning them into the characters and story line for a serial killer novel. It has taken me about a month and a half now to get all the old notes and narrative sorted out into a timeline, but at last I am done. Now, I am going through all of that material and making sure the zombies are edited out and the serial killer is put in.
Sounds simple, right? Wrong.
Visions, dialogue, time, and characters all have to be changed.
The good part? I have the first part of the story done in a very rough draft sort of way. I plan on having three parts to this novel.
Random Thoughts: Ash stuck in a fire in a school. Ronan and Fortunatus dying. My new character Christian Stark. What is Crow doing cause this is really his final story. Plus an over arching study of Pride and Humility. And Chris Kyle. There is no way his murder won’t influence this book. I will honor his memory and all our soldiers with this story.

And there you have it – being stuck in the mind of a writer.

being a story teller changes the way you see the world
It does ratchet the people watching to a whole new level.
